Ronald Nichols was born in the third quarter of 1921 and his birth was registered at Leeds. He was the son of Arthur Nichols and Jane Ann (nee Atha) who had married in the second quarter of 1920 at Leeds.
In the first quarter of 1932, registered at North Leeds, Jane Ann Nichols married John W Womack, hence his mother is shown as Jane Ann Womack of Knottingley.
