“SECOND TIME WOUNDED
Mr and Mrs J T Beaumont of 12, Spawd Bone Lane, Knottingley have received word that their son Private T Beaumont has been wounded while serving in Burma. Pte Beaumont was also wounded in fighting in Egypt in December 1940. Formerly a glass worker he joined the Army just after the outbreak of war. He went overseas four years ago and has been through Crete, Syria and Tobruk. A brother Dick is on the Anzio beach-head, Italy.”
